A household budget assistant you talk to in plain language. The AI proposes an entry, you approve it. It runs on your own API key. Your Baluna account is only for the subscription, and your budget data stays on your phone.

The first month is free. To keep using Baluna you need a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play. I will share pricing before launch. You pay for AI usage separately, directly to the provider of your key.
You create an account with your chosen provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or Ollama Cloud) and generate a key there. You pay the provider directly, according to their pricing.
The conversation, the expenses you ask about, receipt photos if you attach them, and your saved preferences. If you turn on voice chat, OpenAI also receives the microphone audio. The data reaches the provider under your agreement with them.
Baluna's server only handles your account, your subscription and reports you choose to send. Expenses, chats, photos and API keys do not reach it, unless you attach a screenshot to a report yourself. Your chat with the AI does not pass through a middleman.

Not in the basic version, where the assistant runs on the key of your chosen provider. A separate version of the app is in the works, in which an AI model can be downloaded and run on the phone. It needs a more powerful device, and cloud providers remain available in it.
